WAGBA held its annual fundraising event Maytoberfest on the 25th of May at the contemporary Sentinel Bar & Grill, located at St. George’s Terrace in the heart of Perth’s CBD. As usual, the event had an amazing turnout, with over 120 attending WAGBA members and their guests.
The event, mirroring the festive spirit of Oktoberfest in the month of May, provided a unique opportunity for attendees to expand their networks and meet new people under an informal setting, allowing for personal connections to be made and fostering the sense of community within WAGBA. In response to the success of the event, WAGBA President Stephan W Kirsch commented on LinkedIn: “Great to have #WAGBA creating even closer business and cultural ties between Western Australia and Germany. Fantastic networking too.”, to which attendee Oliver Krumholz, Partner of IO Consult replied, “Thanks for organising this great event. Lots of fun and interesting discussions. Already looking forward to the next #WAGBA event.”
The success of Maytoberfest is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the WAGBA community, and the association extends its heartfelt gratitude to all attendees and sponsors, namely our member companies JOEST Australia and Indurad, who helped to make Maytoberfest a remarkable success. The continued support of the WAGBA community is a testament to the strong bonds and shared values that underpin this vibrant organization.
As WAGBA understands the value of such social events the association looks forward to hosting more such events in the future, creating opportunities for members and friends to continue building strong connections and making a positive impact within both the German and the Australian business community in Western Australia.
