The WAGBA Annual General Meeting (AGM) for 2025 was held on 21st October at the Boardroom of Ketelsen Enterprise in West Perth. The AGM was attended by several of the committee members and numerous members of WAGBA.

A New Chapter for WAGBA
The West Australian-German Business Association (WAGBA), established in 1985, has enjoyed a proud legacy as a not-for-profit organisation championing connections between Western Australia and Germany through business and culture. As its newly elected President since October 2025, I am excited to further develop this legacy and ensure WAGBA remains an innovative bridge between enterprises, governments, and cultural initiatives across both regions.

Spirits were high at the Rhein-Donau Club, as WAGBA members and friends gathered at the unique German-styled venue for our Business After-Hours Event, jointly held with the RDC and Innovative Accounting and Tax, on the 12th September.

For many, to have access running water at just a twist of a tap to drink, cook, and shower at a moment’s notice are a given and something to be taken for granted. However, access to fresh water is a luxury that many people around the world do not have. With the growing challenges in many regional areas, access to clean water remains a significant challenge, especially in remote communities.

DAS Awards 2025
It’s another year of “DAS Exam” (Deutsch- Australischer Sprachverein) Awards Presentation for the German learners of WA. The Exam has been offered to students for around 60 years and is part of the WAGBA cultural support program. As such the “DAS Exam” is supported by the Association financially and by means of contribution to the annual award ceremonies.
